The next step in the advancement is a PHEV system.
Finally, there is a performance-tuned 2025 Ford Explorer ST variant. It has a 3.0-liter twin-turbo system that produces 400 horsepower. This engine is now offered in two additional high-end grades: Platinum and King Ranch. With a towing capability of 5,600 pounds, it is also the best hauler in the family. When rushing from 0-60 mph, the SUV pauses the clock just after 5 seconds. All models have a 10-speed automatic transmission.
